Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Establishes and leads communications strategies and timelines by working closely with Director's Office and Wake County Communications Office. | 1 | 15% | • | Partners with subject matter experts to assess communication needs by providing technical assistance in creating articles, news releases, blogs, FAQs, reports, flyers and other informational materials and tools for communications. May serve as a liaison coordinating responses to public records request. | 2 | 35% | • | Creates and supports the implementation of communication plans to ensure staff are informed and engaged on complex organization change initiatives, projects and other departmental updates. | 3 | 15% | • | Develops effective working relationships and maintains good communications internally and across the County. | 4 | 15% | • | Supervises staff which may include a technical resource responsible for the development and maintenance of site supporting internal department staff communications and content management of Wake County website and social media platforms; or supervises other departmental staff. | 5 | 10% | • | Coordinates and plans employee engagement activities and professional development opportunities. | 6 | 10% | | | | | | | |
