Primary Purpose

The purpose of the Workforce Development Contract Specialist position is to draft, maintain and evaluate all contracts for CAWD service providers. In addition, the Contract specialist effectively interacts with providers and CAWD staff to assure contract compliance as well as well as assure contracts properly reflect the contracted services and other negotiated contract terms. This position manages CAWD's end to end contract process and procedures per the Wake County's contract management system as well the relevant state and federal contract requirements. This position also serves as an accounting support specialist responsible for a variety of accounting support responsibilities such as invoice management, development of RFQ's and POs, inventory management, and more.

Drafts, revises, maintains, and manages a variety of department contracts

 Manage and track payment documentation and supporting documentation PRC, GAX, including invoice reviews

Additional Responsibilities

•

Provide additional adhoc support to the Business Services manager including minor accounting support


*IMPORTANT* In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.

Qualifications


Required Education

•

Bachelor's degree in Public Administration, Business Administration, Human Resources Management or a related field


Required Experience

•

Two years of job-related experience
