Provides leadership and direction to a large number of volunteers. Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Develops, promotes and maintains a wide range of volunteer opportunities within the organization. Maintains necessary supplies for these in-house programs. | 1 | 30% | • | Recruits volunteers by processing applications in a timely manner. Organizes orientation and trainings and maintains a current list of volunteers and what they are trained to do. Networks Volunteer Program through local events, social media and other community opportunities. | 2 | 20% | • | Develops, documents, updates and implements program policies and procedures. Provides ongoing training to volunteer program participants on policies and procedures. Evaluates program routinely to determine program needs and growth opportunities. | 3 | 10% | • | Serves as the primary contact for the Volunteer Program and responds to community inquiries related to outreach opportunities and activities. Represents the Department at community events. | 4 | 25% | • | Coordinates all related community activities and events, including rabies and microchip clinics.
