Provides day-to-day operational oversight of 20+ solid waste facilities, ensuring regulatory compliance and coordination with City and Towns. Knowledge, Skills and Abilities | • | Excellent knowledge of solid waste services and operations involving the collection, disposal, recycling and processing of materials, community collection, landfill construction and operations, or other comparable program areas. | • | Strongly proficient in Microsoft Suite (Word, G-Mail, Access or Excel or related systems). | • | Supervisory skills with ability to provide guidance and professional support to staff, offer regular feedback, hold staff accountable, and serve as a mentor | • | Exceptional critical thinking ability with demonstrated troubleshooting and problem-solving skills | • | Ability to exercise significant judgment and discretion in applying and interpreting policies and procedures | • | Ability to work independently in carrying out oral and written instructions | • | Exceptional oral/public speaking and written communication skills | • | Strong project management skills and financial analysis skills | | | |
