Primary Purpose

Researches questions and answers inquiries from citizens, businesses and industry and other governmental agencies regarding convenience center program, multi-material program and household hazardous waste program. Coordinates and conducts facility site inspections and site visits for convenience centers, multi-material facilities and household hazardous waste facilities. Works with and collaborates with the Outreach & Education group for landfill and other facility tours, events and social media responses. Communicates with regulatory agencies regarding compliance matters.

Position(s) may perform other duties in addition to the above as assigned by management.

 

*IMPORTANT* In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.

Required Education

Bachelor's degree

Two years of job-related experience


Required Licenses and Certifications

Valid Driver's License and "safe" driving record
