Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Assists veterinarians with animal exams and animal surgery. Observes animals for signs of illness, injury and behavior changes, provides support and notifies veterinarian. Performs lab and diagnostic tests, administers medications and maintains accurate controlled drug log. Induces, monitors and recovers animals from anesthesia. | 1 | 60% | • | Provides treatment to sick or injured animals as prescribed by the veterinarian. Cleans and maintains medical kennels. Cleans and maintains instruments and equipment. Reviews medical records and enters data.
