Researches and evaluates the furniture, fixtures, and equipment (FF&E) needs including specifying new assets and reusing existing and surplus assets whenever possible. Works as part of the team with design consultants and project managers to provide clear project plans and space information relevant to project scope including budget development and project scheduling. Collaborates with all (5) major GSA operating divisions in various capacities including project management, technical lead, or subject matter expert to deliver a full-service product to all departments throughout Wake County. | | | | | | | | |
Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Conducts facility planning which includes strategic planning, scenario planning, facility utilization, expansion planning, and building restacking. Interfaces with departmental customers and other stakeholders to identify workplace requirements and establish efficient executable plans. Verifies architectural drawings, group assignments, and employee locations during site visits to identify and confirm scope of work for areas requiring facility modification. Ensures that detailed space programming through execution of project services, provides efficient workspaces that align with Wake County’s design guidelines and space standards. | 1 | 40% | • | Provides design and project management services to qualifying potential leased and/or owned facilities. Conducts building test fits, utilizing departmental programming for identifying available real estate that meets the program needs. Coordinates with stakeholders by scheduling project, construction, pre-occupancy and post occupancy meetings. Manages budgets and reconciles invoices for facility projects. | 2 | 25% | • | Collaborates in the development of space planning, preliminary design and specifications in compliance with applicable codes and regulations, while adhering to Wake County furniture design standards for major and minor capital projects and miscellaneous renovations lead by Project Managers. Provides design services for the selection of finishes for space and FF&E. Assists in developing RFP specifications for commercial furniture and provides analysis of project budgets and bid documents for major and minor capital projects. | 3 | 25% | • | Assists in move management for move projects by, verifying personnel locations, reviewing individual move, add, change (MAC) requests for completion and accuracy, and tracking each move through its completion.
