Provides leadership and supervision for activities pertaining to the maintenance, repairs and fueling of the county's fleet and prepares and reviews vehicle and equipment specifications for purchase and replacement. Works in an intense and dynamic environment and is expected to think creatively, manage the operating budget and respond rapidly to a constant influx of demands. Develops departmental budget for vehicle leases and fuel. Manages annual divisional budget while ensuring the internal service Fleet Fund balance continues to allow future vehicle replacements. Provides continuous innovative opportunities in operational efficiencies. Develops data reporting and analysis to support departments requests. Administers county owned and outsourced fuel management, researches alternative fuels and oversees fuel charge backs. Oversees parking management including overseeing all county owned private and public parking facilities and the county's parking management service and equipment maintenance contractors. | | | | | | | | |

Manages the vehicle disposition process and offboards vehicles. Researches and evaluates ROI for alternate fuels, sources and sustainable fleet solutions. | 1 | 40% | • | Oversees the Fleet maintenance and repair shop along with the specialty vehicle upfitting. Directs management staff on best practices, insourcing and outsourcing, data management and reporting, vehicle telematics, motor pool and warranty administration. | 2 | 30% | • | Prepares and manages operating budgets for fleet, parking and fuel. Analyzes prior year budgets and recommends future year proposals.
