Conducts a wide variety of basic professional duties related to land use planning, redevelopment, zoning, and environmental matters which includes interpreting and enforcing zoning and subdivision laws. Prepares simple professional-level planning studies, research, analysis, report writing on planning, subdivision, zoning, and long range planning issues. | | | | | | | | |
Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Reviews site plans and works with developers and the public for conformance with all zoning and subdivision ordinances, land use, thoroughfare, and open space plans. | 1 | 30% | • | Manages the permitting process by answering customer question and resolving issues related to processes and procedures for obtaining land use permits. | 2 | 30% | • | Conducts code enforcement site visits and prepares reports. | 3 | 20% | • | Performs basic data gathering and analysis with GIS and software programs and prepares staff reports and presentations for staff, the Planning Board and Board of Adjustment. | 4 | 10% | • | Conducts basic research and evaluation of new/amended planning and zoning regulations. | 5 | 10% | | | | | | | |
