Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Performs day to day supervision by providing direction to staff, analysis of section business practices, review of budget and spending requests, facilitation of staff moves and workflow efficiency, application of local and state policies and regulations, and resolution of issues related to staff and customers. | 1 | 20% | • | Research's, collects and analyzes technical data for use in complex planning initiatives and projects. Monitors demographc data and growth trends as it relates to the County's performance measures and growth strategies. | 2 | 20% | • | Manages the long range planning activities by applying land use regulations and policies in the review and approval development process. Interprets and applies the comprehensive land use plan and administers amendments to plan. | 3 | 10% | • | Performs frequent outreach efforts to residents and community stakholders on a variety of issues, including land use plan amendments, community growth issues and county/municipal growth plans. | 4 | 15% | • | Manages professional staff involved in the development of the County’s growth management strategy.
