Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Supervises and assigns division staff and resources to achieve appropriate distribution of work and tasks while evaluating established performance metrics for key functions of the division. | 1 | 15% | • | Directs and manages the long range planning services and activities for those areas in Wake County lying outside municipal planning jurisdictions. | 2 | 15% | • | Directs and manages the administration and enforcement of the North Carolina State Building Codes for areas lying in Wake County's jurisdiction and areas where Wake County has executed municipal agreements for inspection services. | 3 | 15% | • | Makes recommendations and provides direction to the County Manager and County Board of Commissioners on amendments and changes to the Comprehensive Land Use Plan and Unified Development Ordinance | 4 | 15% | • | Directs and manages all activities related to the Wake County Planning Board and Board of Adjustment. | 5 | 15% | • | Resolves complex customer issues. | 6 | 15% | • | Prepares the Division's annual work plan, program and budget. | 7 | 5% | • | Executes annual performance reviews of division supervisors and managers and resolves personnel issues in a manner consistent with Wake County policies. | 8 | 5% | | | | | | | |
