Provides crime scene photographs and videos digitally from the Digital Crime Scene System, from archived compact disks and from scanned negatives at the request of law enforcement officers and the District Attorney's Office. Responds to major crime scenes when extremely precise photographic work is required. Provides professional quality photography of evidence items in a laboratory setting. Reproduces latent fingerprints and shoe impression 1:1 for comparison purposes. Captures still images from video surveillance systems. Interprets rough drawings supplied by Crime Scene Investigators and creates a professionally enlarged version suitable for courtroom presentation. Designs and produces professional quality illustrative courtroom displays to be utilized by law enforcement officers and the Assistant District Attorneys. Advises and trains Crime Scene Investigators in the proper use of all digital photographic equipment. Conducts facial recognition searches using image enhancement and video software when applicable and Morphological Comparisons for law enforcement agencies. Acts as an additional Evidence Technician in maintaining the Chain of Custody for incoming evidence, accepting incoming evidence, directing that evidence to the appropriate CCBI personnel, and returning that evidence to the case agency once analysis is complete. | | | | | | | | |

Creates illustrative crime scene renditions utilizing the FARO system. | 2 | 15% | • | Administers the Dataworks Plus Digital Crime Scene System and works as the administrator for the FARO software system. Reviews and monitors the quality of information submitted, troubleshoots issues and works as a liaison with vendor. Ensures that equipment, instrumentation and/or hardware is maintained and up to date. | 3 | 10% | • | Conducts facial recognition searches using image enhancement and video software when applicable and Morphological Comparison for law enforcement agencies. Acts as agency an administrator for the Facial Recognition program.
