Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Measures, lists, and reviews new and existing residential, commercial, and industrial construction. | 1 | 25% | • | Utilizes all approaches to value in appraising land, commercial and industrial properties. | 2 | 25% | • | Prepares and implements the schedule of values for a general reappraisal by working with external appraisers to gather land rates, building rates, market rents, market expenses and market capitalization rates. | 3 | 20% | • | Reviews information submitted by property owners or their representatives in making decisions on appeal. | 4 | 10% | • | Coordinates with the Wake County Information Services Department and external vendors to implement and maintain software platforms necessary to produce sound appraisals. | 5 | 10% | • | Works with the County Attorney’s office and testifies at the State Property Tax Commission. | 6 | 10% | | | | | | | |
Position(s) may perform other duties in addition to the above as assigned by management. | | *IMPORTANT* In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected.
