Primary Purpose

Manages, either directly or through subordinates, contract routing and approval processes, disbursement processes and/or vendor management processes.  Supports operations by gathering and organizing financial information; analyzing variances; implementing corrective actions; maintaining records; accomplishing special projects; and completing office management reports. Prepares and coordinates the bid/proposal process for various purchase and service related bids.

Serves as the Purchasing Manager in the Manager's absence.

Provides operating oversight of various functions of the accounting department, which may include disbursement, p-cards and/or vendor management functions.

Reviews, recommends, and implements business process improvements throughout the County as it relates to contract management.

Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.
