Primary Purpose

Computes, classifies and records numerical data to keep financial records complete. Performs routine calculations, postings and verification duties to obtain primary financial data for use in maintaining accounting records. Checks the accuracy of figures, calculations and postings pertaining to business transactions recorded by other workers.

Associate's degree in Accounting, Business Administration, Finance or related field

•

Ability to present financial information clearly and concisely in oral and written form.

•

Proficiency with Microsoft Word and Excel and the demonstrated capability to develop high quality spreadsheets.

•

Considerable knowledge of accounting methods, procedures and accounting practices.

•

Ability to maintain journal entries and reconcile accounts.

•

Ability to accurately and thoroughly complete tasks with attention to detail.

•

Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.
