Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Supervises and directs the activities of the accounts payable staff, monitoring the overall workload of individual fiscal unit staff to ensure timely completion of tasks. | 1 | 35% | • | Performs day-to-day financial transactions, including verifying, classifying, computing, posting and recording accounts payables data.              Checks and approves the accuracy of figures, calculations, and postings pertaining to financial transactions recorded by Sr Accounting Technicians. Processes a multitude of accounting activities, included but not limited to: journal entries, account reconciliations, vendor invoices, travel expense reimbursements and authorizations, cash receipts, requisitions, receiving reports, compiling fiscal report data, resolving payment discrepancies, initiating stop-payments, and following accounting controls.              | 2 | 35% | • | Provides accounting technical support and advice to staff and vendors; provides recommendations to increase workflow efficiencies.                                       | 3 | 10% | • | Reconciles vendor statements, respond to vendor inquiries and, research and resolve discrepancies. | 4 | 10% | • | Provides supervision and performance management to staff through training, recruitment, coaching, and completing yearly reviews.                                       | 5 | 10% | | | | | | | |
