Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Develops, maintains and coordinates emergency plans and standard operating procedures to interact effectively with local, county, state and federal response agencies during emergencies. | 1 | 30% | • | Responds to incidents or incident scenes. Serves as "Staff Duty Officer" and assists in the coordination of emergency events by providing expert technical support in health and safety strategies for the protection of first responders and the general public involving incidents such as hazardous materials spills, school violence incidents, natural weather events, missing persons, traffic or transportation accidents or terrorist events. | 2 | 10% | • | Maintains readiness state of emergency for facilities and equipment. | 3 | 10% | • | Identifies public safety issues and develops training and exercise plans.
