Primary Purpose

Plans, coordinates and controls the call center service team's activities to maintain and enhance customer relationships and to meet organizational and operational objectives.

 

Essential Functions

•

Plans, supervises and directs the call center team's daily operations to ensure the department's proper functioning, routing, handling the calls effectively and to keep the wait and on-hold times short.

Develops and implements call center policies and procedures.

•

Handles complex and escalated customer service issues and answers staff questions guiding them through difficult calls or issues.

•

Works in conjunction with Telecom Team to maintain the InContact System, so calls are not dropped, lost or contain static/latency.

•

Assesses call center performance reports and prepares detailed reports to identify and implement strategies to improve service quality and productivity.

Identifies and addresses staff training and coaching needs incorporating feedback from monitoring into training.

Position(s) may perform other duties in addition to the above as assigned by management.

 

*IMPORTANT* In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.

Ability to handle high volume of customer calls while maintaining a positive attitude.
