Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Department of Social Services(DSS)-United States Department of Agriculture (USDA) Civil Rights: Researches, coordinates, delivers and maintains civil rights information and training for affected programs. Utilizes audit data and areas of interest to develop recommendations for improved civil rights performance and compliance. Drafts, reviews, and updates related Wake County Human Services (WCHS) policy and/or training and communications as necessary. | 1 | 35% | • | Language Assistance for Limited English Proficient (LEP) clients: Coordinates and maintains the availability of LEP best practices and resources to the workforce. Develops and maintains training and communications systems to ensure operational compliance. Coordinates with WCHS Contracts and/or Finance staff and LEP vendors to ensure smooth operations. Ensures systems for assessing bilingual staff are available and utilized appropriately. | 2 | 25% | • | Consumer Experience Projects: Assists Wake County Human Services and Program Managers to identify data-driven customer service culture developmental goals and strategies for best-practice implementation. Develops and facilitated delivery of customer service materials and trainings. | 3 | 15% | • | National Voter Registration Act (NVRA): Coordinates and provides communications and implementation strategies to DSS-USDA programs to ensure Voter Registration compliance. Ensures completed Voter Registration applications are transmitted to Board of Elections in a timely manner. Troubleshoots with staff and stakeholders and updates related WCHS policy as necessary. | 4 | 15% | • | Administrative Disqualification Hearings: Acts as Hearing Officer for cases from DSS-USDA. | 5 | 10% | | | | | | | |
