Primary Purpose

 

Assists the Call Center Supervisor in guidance and instruction of the call center staff and handles customer inquiries both over the phone and by email.

 

 

Essential Functions

•

Provides support to team members by answering questions, assists in taking calls when queue is high, and helps to provide a safe and harmonious working environment.

Understands all agency services providing information to customers and team members.

Ensures that clients are satisfied at all times by providing prompt responses and solutions to their requests.

•

Identifies customers needs, updates customer information, clarifies information, researches issues and provides solutions and alternatives.

•

Provides training to new team members, when needed, in all aspects of using the InContact system to answer calls, transfer calls and conference calls.  Conducts training on documents specific to call center operations such as duty calendars, Excel Resource Spreadsheet and telephone teams.

Position(s) may perform other duties in addition to the above as assigned by management.

 

*IMPORTANT* In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.

Required Education
