Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Counsels and advises employees and leadership regarding benefits administration. Investigates claims and recommends decisions that impact the employee, plan compliance, and benefits budget. Analyzes data and makes recommendations on plan changes | 1 | 40% | • | Reviews and interprets benefits policies. Advises senior leadership, managers, supervisors and employees regarding benefits policies | 2 | 20% | • | Assists in the request for proposal process for all benefits related contracts. Serves as subject matter expert for system selection, design, and implementation | 3 | 15% | • | Maintains, analyzes, and reports on benefits related data. Provides recommendations based on data to better manage programs and support strategic initiatives | 4 | 10% | • | Designs, delivers, and analyzes benefits-related training initiatives and communication efforts, including new employee orientation, open enrollment sessions, and retirement seminars | 5 | 10% | • | Administers Retiree Drug Subsidy program | 6 | 5% | | | | | | | |
