Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Counsels and communicates with employees regarding benefits programs, open enrollment, qualifying life events, and separation. Ensures documentation is complete and accurate for HR payroll processing | 1 | 40% | • | Provides benefit onboarding to new employees by ensuring understanding of benefit plans and enrollment provisions. Presents new employee benefits orientation. Monitors enrollment to ensure forms and dependent documentation are received, complete, and accurate | 2 | 20% | • | Conducts retirement consultations with employees, coordinates retirement paperwork, provides education on retirement benefits, and provides support to retirees post-retirement as it pertains to Wake County benefits | 3 | 20% | • | Advises supervisors and employees on leave programs and assists in the processing of leave requests | 4 | 10% | • | Administers tuition reimbursement program application process | 5 | 5% | • | Supports the Living Great @ Wake program and other benefits and wellness events and initiatives | 6 | 5% | | | | | | | |
