Primary Purpose

Supervise staff providing direct patient care. Reviews cases and charts and responds to questions and inquires from nurses. Plans, supervises and coordinates a variety of program and services. Responds to emergency disasters and/or communicable disease outbreaks. Reviews team member documentation and provides technical assistance.

Supervises staff providing direct patient care. Reviews cases and charts and responds to questions and inquires from nurses or staff and physicians. Audits medical records or quality control and established protocols.

Establishes goals and objectives for staff to ensure ongoing quality medical services. Implements work plans, provides opportunities for continuing  education for staff, sets priorities for care and coordinates new employee orientations.

Coordinates and participates in community outreach activities and follows up with patients. Presents programs to community groups and schools. Responds to emergency disasters and/or communicable disease outbreaks.

Reviews and/or develops service and treatment plans and coordinates treatment with ancillary providers and services.  Reassesses and evaluates plans to ensure client needs are met. Reviews team member documentation and provides technical assistance.

Position(s) may perform other duties in addition to the above as assigned by management.

 

*IMPORTANT* In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.

Excellent grasp of Nurse assessment skills.

Knowledge of the core fundamentals of Nursing.

•

Ability to document concise and accurate information in the medical record.

Ability to speak more than one language.
