Processes deliver and stock supply orders at EMS stations in an accurate manner as well as performs detailed inventory cycle counts at different locations. Operates, drives, loads and unloads forklifts, equipment trailers and delivery vehicles. Assists with warehouse inventory management and stocking. Maintains a neat and clean work environment. Interacts and communicates with individuals and groups of individuals (within the EMS department, other departments/agencies, vendors, customers and the public) from all education levels, cultural backgrounds and belief structures. Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Collaborates with the EMS Assistant Chief of Logistics on the expectations and direction to meet supply chain goals and objectives of the EMS system. Receives and interprets daily logs, e-mails, telephone calls and in-person requests related to supply needs, then evaluates, develops and prioritizes tasks for accomplishment during working hours. Reads, writes, and comprehends documents such as safety rules, operating and maintenance instructions, pick tickets, and procedure manuals in English using basic math and counting skills. Adapts, problem solves and multi-tasks in a fast paced and sometimes distracting environment. Maintains a neat, organized and clean work environment. | 1 | 25% | • | Works in a physically demanding, non-climate-controlled warehouse environment, requiring strength, flexibility and endurance. Operates equipment and vehicles such as forklifts, moving trailers, delivery trucks and large vehicles in a safe and respectful manner. | 2 | 25% | • | Operates a delivery vehicle to transport materials and supplies to assigned locations including loading and unloading the items at delivery destinations.
