Works in collaboration with the WCSO Director of Finance to maintain an accurate budget for the medical division. | | | | | | | | |
Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Reviews, monitors and assists with implementation and improvement of procedures and programs. | 1 | 10% | • | Evaluates financial health, program needs and statistical data and make recommendations for improvement. | 2 | 10% | • | Develops and negotiates contracts with outside agencies in consultation with the Director of Nursing, Divisional Managers and with the approval of the Medical Director. | 3 | 10% | • | Monitors and makes recommendations to the administrative component of contractual services. | 4 | 10% | • | Ensures that the WCSO medical plan in collaboration with the Director of Nursing, Divisional Mangers, Assistant Director of Detention Services is reviewed annually and necessary changes are made accordingly. | 5 | 10% | • | Oversees recruitment, orientation and performance evaluation of all non-clinical employees. | 6 | 10% | • | Assumes responsibility for planning, providing and monitoring staff participation in educational and development programs as well as ensuring that necessary licensure, credentialing and insurance coverage are maintained. | 7 | 10% | • | Conducts in collaboration with the Director of Nursing and appropriate managers and supervisors, regular inventories of medical supplies, pharmacy and equipment for the medical department. | 8 | 10% | • | Schedules regular staff meetings and ensures effective communication with all staff. | 9 | 10% | • | Ensures that all scheduling and maintenance of equipment, including but not limited to: X-ray machine, infirmary beds, and exam room equipment are current and records of maintenance are kept for spot inspections. | 10 | 10% | | | | | | | |
