Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Designs and implements processes to ensure public health programs apply quality improvement principles and practices to continually improve effective and efficient services to clients. Leads, co-leads and serves on various committees representing the department. Facilitates collaboration to improve and develop services to meet the changing needs of the client population and changing regulatory requirements. | 1 | 30% | • | Leads the development and management of electronic systems that document Wake County Human Services (WCHS)staff training, medical professional credentials, accreditation requirements and agency protocols to ensure compliance with local, state and federal regulations. Collaborates with County Information Services and Human Resources work groups to evaluate, select, configure and implement county-wide electronic applications related to quality assurance. Provides direction to Department Training Administrators (DTAs) in multiple WCHS divisions as the lead administrator for the Wake County Human Services portion of the electronic learning management system. Additional Responsibilities | • | Manage the community disaster response team for deployment and scheduling of public health medical and nursing staff during emergencies | • | Conducts Wake County Human Services' new employee orientation regarding quality assurance and improvement expectations; reviews content annually and updates as needed to align with Wake County Core Values. | • | Investigates and responds to health care confidentiality concerns and critical events. Researches Health Insurance Portability and Accountability Act (HIPAA) regulations and advises as needed. Serves as secondary Wake County Human Services HIPAA compliance officer | | | |
