Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Provides specialty health expertise to school nurses, nurse supervisors, and school health program manager. Improves procedural processes, obtains approvals, and remains abreast of new developments and policy requirements as related to specialty area such as diabetes or asthma. Creates prevention plans to minimize health risks at school. Works to achieve an optimal health state for each student by identifying and evaluating school health needs and policies. | 1 | 25% | • | Serves as school health nurse liaison between WCHS School Health Program and WCPSS health services and WCPSS special education services.
