Conducts blood draws/specimen collection, laboratory packaging and transport of biohazard and urine specimens for HIV, syphilis, chlamydia, gonorrhea, and Hep C, in accordance with testing protocols. Applies and provides individual HIV/STD/PrEP education, limited STD Treatment, and linkage to care. | | | | | | | | |
Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Provides HIV/STD/Hep C counseling, education and testing at community and clinic testing sites and at other events as needed by the team. Obtains medical risk behavior history, draws blood and collects swab and urine samples. | 1 | 50% | • | Handles and processes blood and other samples, documents client registration information in medical record and laboratory websites. Records tests and results in client medical records, and provides results and additional counseling to clients coming back for results and treatment. | 2 | 45% | • | Maintains data collection and written reports.
