Prepare recommendations for hardware and software acquisitions, staffing adjustments, budget and projects during the budget preparation process. | | | | | | | | |
Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Oversee project and portfolio managment for the team using County project management methodologies, developing documentation including technical diagrams for newly implemented IT systems. | 1 | 40% | • | Assist Department Systems Senior Manager with management of operating and CIP budgets. Consult with busines unit stakeholders on technology needs and IT strategic planning. Serve on business unit IT cabinets and committees. | 2 | 20% | • | Manage contracts and retain strong vendor relationships related to IT systems used by the business unit, working closely with vendors during major system upgrades. | 3 | 20% | • | Lead and coach the the daily activites of team members including identifying training opportunities and encouraging the exploartion of emerging technologies. | 4 | 10% | • | Follow Wake County IT standards, policies and procedures. Enhance personal proficiency and knowledge of county information systems and technology. Stay current with IT industry trends and explore ways to effectively apply new technologies to the work of Wake County government. | 5 | 10% | | | | | | | |
