Negotiates and manages related contracts and collaborates with staff and vendors on automation solutions. Manages the budget of assigned area. Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Manages and directs a work group of IT professionals responsible for IT systems that support the business unit. This includes planning, directing, and coordinating the delivery of services provided by that work group. | 1 | 50% | • | Serves as a member of the business unit's leadership team, providing input into strategic planning efforts, annual business plan update, and organizational design including the development and management of operating and specific capital project budgets. | 5 | 5% | • | Provides technical direction and consultation to business unit management and staff to introduce improved efficiencies and effectiveness in order to achieve the business strategies and goals of department. | 3 | 10% | • | Leads major business unit projects including oversight of all aspects of planning, implementation, including on–going support and end of life cycle planning and budgeting. | 2 | 25% | • | Manages IT vendor relationships, contracts and negotiate required services. | 4 | 5% | • | Enhances personal proficiency and knowledge of county information systems and technology.
