Maintain all project deliverables including project scheduling, risk management, change management, issue management and communication management. Oversee all aspects of execution, using best practice PMO methodology (waterfall, agile, combination of approaches) to create a project plan to fit the stakeholder/customer needs including identifying and solving problems that would otherwise delay the objective of the project. Ultimately be responsible for assuring the projects are on-budget and on-time and delivered with the expected value to the stakeholders and sponsors. | | | | | | | | |
Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Provide project management for the Wake County ERP initiatives. Provide consulting and project management skills to the e Wake Departments, (Finance, HR and Budget), to lead projects that deploy technologies that integrate with our ERP platform or enhance their business processes and improve productivity. Maintain all project deliverables including project scope, requirement changes, and objectives, scheduling, communications, risk management mitigation, issue management, and communication management. | 1 | 45% | • | Provide leadership to the project's participants and stakeholders, including managing expectations, conducting meetings, maintaining timelines, communicating needs, and providing clear information. | 2 | 20% | • | Anticipate operational and tactical risks and track them. Remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to sponsors where required. | 3 | 15% | • | Assist the ERP Manager with procurement, including expense monitoring, and vendor adherence to timelines. | 4 | 15% | • | Enhance personal proficiency and knowledge of county information systems and technology.
