Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Provide project management for Information Services and business unit initiatives. | 1 | 50% | • | Maintain all project deliverables including project scope and objectives, scheduling, risk management, change management, issue management and status reporting. | 2 | 20% | • | Manage project scope by assessing requirements changes, determining and conveying impact on budget and schedule. | 3 | 5% | • | Anticipate operational and tactical risks and track them. Remove barriers, resolve minor project issues and escalate to sponsors where required. | 4 | 5% | • | Provide leadership to the project's participants and stakeholders, including managing expectations, conducting meetings, maintaining timelines, communicating needs, and providing clear information. | 5 | 5% | • | Manage procurement, including contract negotiation, expense monitoring, and vendor adherence to timelines. | 6 | 5% | • | Support and monitor smaller projects initiated and managed by others. Mentor project leaders by teaching good project management practices and helping with the creation and tracking of project plans and status. | 7 | 5% | • | Follow Wake County IT standards, policies and procedures. Enhance personal proficiency and knowledge of county information systems and technology.
