Primary Purpose

The Housing Support Supervisor provides supervision and administrative leadership for the program. The job manage and completes tasks for the day-to-day operations of the program.

 

 

 

 

Essential Functions

•

Provides direction and supervision to rental assistance team, social workers and community partners.

Accomplishes program goals, objectives and overall compliance with all program requirements and regulations.

•

Facilitates program orientation for clients and their service providers.

•

Reviews, prepares, approves and submits payment requests, monthly recurring rents, utility allowances and other program related expenditures to the department business team.

•

Coordinates contract and vendor set up with process with property owners and/or management companies and WC Finance.

•

Participates in agency response to HUD inquiries and audits

•

Reviews and approves rent reasonableness analysis

Oversees the coordination of  HUD HQS;  reviews and distributes inspection reports; Reviews and approves invoices

Position(s) may perform other duties in addition to the above as assigned by management.

 

*IMPORTANT* In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.

Supervision skills with ability to provide guidance and professional support to staff, offer regular feedback, hold staff accountable, and serve as a mentor.

Ability to utilize office equipment and other relevant technology (software and systems) to meet business needs (e.g., Microsoft Office, NC FAST, and electronic document management system)

•
