Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Ensures staff are present and are providing professional interpretation and translation services for Maternal and Child Health home visiting staff including home visits, telephonic visits, and Wake County Human Services (WCHS) Clinics as time permits. Prioritizes home visits first and Health Clinics assistance second for Interpreter team. | 1 | 65% | • | Meets with staff on a regular basis to conduct individual conferences as well as conduct monthly team meetings. Arranges in-service training to keep Interpreters current on new medical and social service information and terminology. Completes time sheets, monthly reports and other program specific reports by deadlines. | 2 | 5% | • | Provides interpretation and translation services when there is need to extend interpretation capacity. This position is considered a working supervisor. | 3 | 10% | • | Translates written medical information as needed for WCHS Maternal and Child Health Program as well as WCHS Clinics (requires a passing score on written assessment to conduct written translation). | 4 | 20% | | | | | | | |
