Primary Purpose

The Adult & Community Services - Social Worker assures that adult care homes and adult day/day health care programs operate within applicable and minimum state regulations, laws, and standards and that the frail and vulnerable adults they serve are safe and well cared for.

 

 

Essential Functions

 

 

Priority

•

Monitors the day-to-day operations of Adult Care Homes and Adult Day Care/Day Health Centers.

•

Investigates and submits findings on complaints received on Adult Care Facilities.

•

Provides consultation and technical assistance to adult care facilities to assure compliance with licensure rules.

•

Completes all required and recommended trainings.

•

Completes all required state and county documentation/reporting.

Position(s) may perform other duties in addition to the above as assigned by management.

 


Additional Responsibilities

•

Other duties as requested.


*IMPORTANT* In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.

Qualifications


Required Education

•

Bachelor's degree in Social Work or related field


Required Experience

Two years of job-related experience


Required Licenses and Certifications

•

Valid Driver's License and "safe" driving record


Qualification Equivalency

Equivalent education and experience are accepted
