Primary Purpose

Assures quality of services by coordinating, monitoring, and reporting on quality assurance reviews. Monitors and provides assistance with quality assurance and compliance with rules and federal Child & Family Service Reviews. Provides consultation and support to ensure services are implemented at the highest standards.

 

Essential Functions

•

Conducts qualitative reviews of screened out reports, assessments, in home services, and foster care cases and licensing processes.  Implements plan for using random and stratified sampling to review cases.  Consults with case worker and supervisor to ensure validity of data. Provides training and coaching to staff according to needs identified in the CQI process.

Develops a thorough knowledge of current law, policy, and elements in the Program Development Plan (PDP). Follows plan to achieving benchmarks in PDP related to qualitative performance measures.  Maintains and manages all related quantitative and qualitative data. Advocates for resources and support needed to meet and exceed goals.

•

Makes recommendations to Supervisor to improve caseworker and supervisor practice, including revisions or additions to division protocols.  Gathers feedback and communicate with case workers and supervisors to improve case reviews. Continues to monitor and report on efforts to improve performance in the Program Development Plan.

•

Participates in State-led webinars, training, and/or committee work, along with Child and Family Services Reviews (CFSR) using the Onsite Review Instrument (OSRI).  Supports activities related to the implementation and operationalization of new policies, practices, and systems, as requested. Conducts other qualitative reviews and analyses, as requested.

Position(s) may perform other duties in addition to the above as assigned by management.

 

*IMPORTANT* In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.
