Primary Purpose

Directs and develops a team of caseworkers and staff in the child care subsidy unit.

 

Essential Functions

Actively supervises, motivates, reviews and disciplines employees.

Ensures federal, state and county timeliness and accuracy standards are met.

Demonstrates and implements a thorough knowledge of Child Care Subsidy Policies and Procedures.

Conducts quality assurance audits of client case files on workers for completeness, accuracy, consistency and conformity.  Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â Â

•

Plans worker case loads by analyzing client requirements; reviewing service objectives.

Prepares program information and reports by collecting, analyzing, and summarizing data and trends.

Establishes and maintains relationships with other agencies and organizations in community to meet community needs and to explain and interpret program purpose and policies.

Collaborates with hiring manager on employee hiring process including application review, developing interview questions and conducting interviews.

Position(s) may perform other duties in addition to the above as assigned by management.

 


Additional Responsibilities

•

Attends division, agency and county meetings.

•

Completes county and program trainings, both optional and required.

•

Logs hearing requests timely.

•

Performs other duties as assigned; attends Hearings with workers as needed; acts as Hearing Officer per rotation schedule.


*IMPORTANT* In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.
