Primary Purpose

Supports Children And Families by identifying social-environmental service gaps; analyzing departmental data; conferring with other child welfare and community professionals; preparing and disseminating child welfare and human services policies, procedures, and protocols; coaching supervisors and staff; advocating for social work, safety and well-being planning, and child welfare initiatives; collaborating with service providers and community partners; providing consultative services; resolving conflicts; expediting services; directing staff.

Manages multiple professional social services programs to protect children and families to include services and activities pertaining to child abuse, neglect and dependency investigations

Develops strong relationships and partnerships to realize referrals and planning goals for children’s services, including relationships with other infant/children’s programs, recreation providers, school districts, and private vendors.

*IMPORTANT* In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.
