Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Screens income, eligibility determination, benefit issuance, and program explanation for the Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants and Children (WIC) at all service locations. | 1 | 40% | • | Registers clients for services, interviews clients on a one-to-one basis; accesses computer-based records; makes eligibility and issuance determination based on federal and state rules and regulations; enters information and data within clients' records. Issues electronic food benefits. | 2 | 40% | • | Answers incoming calls and inquiries regarding the program; assists public with program explanation, schedules all WIC appointments, and makes referrals to other agencies and services. | 3 | 10% | • | Assists with special projects and duties as requested, performing research, gathering materials and collecting and entering data. | 4 | 5% | • | Provides client education on benefits of program and nutrition education | 5 | 5% | | | | | | | |
