Primary Purpose

Provides talent acquisition consultation and proactive recruitment services for departmental hiring managers. Conducts recruitment needs assessment meetings and works closely with hiring managers through all stages of the recruitment process. Provides recruitment, classification and compensation policy guidance to hiring managers and departmental leadership. Supervises departmental talent acquisition staff.

 

Essential Functions

•

Conducts recruitment assessment meetings with hiring managers on management level and hard to fill positions. Consults on effective talent acquisition strategies including job posting verbiage and posting sites.

•

Creates and posts departmental job vacancies, creates or edits applicant screening questions, monitors/maintains position open and close dates, screens and refers candidates, manages candidate status updates in applicant tracking system.

•

Proactively sources candidates through a variety of sources including: internal Applicant Tracking System (ATS), career fairs, social media and other posting sites to drive candidates to postings. Builds a proactive pipeline of candidates to supports hiring goals.

•

Delivers training to hiring managers and employees on the hiring process and how to use applicant tracking system.

•

Consults with hiring manager, departmental leadership, and central human resources on compensation for proposed salary offers.

Position(s) may perform other duties in addition to the above as assigned by management.

 

*IMPORTANT* In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.

Qualifications


Required Education

•

Associate's degree in Human Resources Management, Public Administration, Business Administration or related field


Required Experience

•

Three years of experience in human resources administration


Qualification Equivalency

•

Equivalent education and experience are accepted
