Primary Purpose

Works to ensure that all Wake County real property is valued in compliance with the North Carolina

General Statutes and the Wake County Schedule of Values by collecting data to support valuations.

Measures and lists new construction and conducts field visits to collect real property data. Works

independently with frequent interaction with citizens and building contractors.

Qualifications


Required Education

•

High school diploma or GED

•

One year of post-secondary education in business, construction technology or a related field


Required Experience

•

One year of experience in real estate or appraisal, construction estimating or the assessment of real property


Required Licenses and Certifications

•

Ability to obtain certification from the North Carolina Department of Revenue as a Real Property Appraiser within two years of employment

•

Valid driver's license and "safe" driving record
