Primary Purpose

The internship provides opportunities for students to explore various careers in Information Technology. Potential candidates will have the opportunity to gain hands on experience, working with motivated and enthusiastic IT professionals, while expanding their knowledge base, building resumes and gaining relevant course related and career experience. Interns will work on tasks and projects as determined by the team/department they are working with. Responsibilities will include shadowing our senior team members coupled with hands on task and project assignments.

*IMPORTANT* In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.

Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems or similar.
