Primary Purpose

Build the county's Recruitment and Retention Marketing function from the ground up.

 

Collaborate closely with Human Resources to develop, implement and measure innovative internal and external communications and marketing plans focused on recruitment, retention and the Team Wake employee experience.

 

Determine how to effectively tell our employer brand story across a variety of channels and platforms to meet candidates where they are and compel a diverse pool of potential candidates to engage with our content and join Team Wake.

 

Essential Functions

•

Build, manage and consistently optimize a county-wide, multi-channel recruitment marketing framework, including content development and management, SEO, SEM, social media and digital marketing. Use data to rigorously assess channel and campaign effectiveness, prioritize based on business requirements, and develop an effective marketing mix to achieve desired outcomes.

Develop and execute marketing strategies and targeted outreach campaigns to effectively tell our employer brand story across a variety of channels and platforms to meet candidates where they are and compel a broad and diverse pool of potential candidates to follow, engage with and join Team Wake.

Write, edit and produce multimedia content that ensures our marketing efforts and communications channels accurately represent and effectively engage our current and future workforce, promote an inclusive culture, and fully support potential, new and established employees.

Build strong relationships with Communications and departmental staff to engender mutual trust. Participate in regularly scheduled meetings with HR and other departments to proactively identify recruitment and retention issues and opportunities, discuss campaign details and prioritize key business needs.

Work with the Creative Services team to develop content, generate marketing collateral, and use video storytelling capabilities and web tools to attract and retain employees.

Manage partner and vendor relationships and monitor performance.

Perform competitive analysis to continuously stay at the forefront of recruitment marketing, retention tactics and social media trends.

Additional Responsibilities

•

Assist as needed in supporting the County’s other internal communications needs, programs and priorities, and assist with crisis and emergency communications efforts, as needed.


*IMPORTANT* In the event of an emergency, as determined by the County Manager or designee, participation in preparedness and response operations should be expected. Employee may be required to fill a temporary assignment in a role different from standard duties, work hours and/or work location in preparation for, during and after the emergency. Employee may also be required to participate in relevant exercises and regular preparedness training.

Qualifications


Required Education

•

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Human Resources or a related field


Required Experience

•

Five years of experience in marketing and communication related to talent acquisition, preferably for a large-scale employer
