Ensures professional staff development, efficient budget management, relevant data collection and analysis, equitable and effective distribution of resources, review and revision of standards of practice, and compliance with regulations. Reviews and analyzes data related to community and school population trends to develop long and short range plans to enhance student health and educational success in alignment with WCHHS goals. Collaborates with internal and external partners including groups that are not traditionally health focused. Promotes continuous review and improvement. | | | | | | | | |
Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Establishes guiding principles for the school health program based on current nursing best practices and WCHHS priorities. Analyzes the health needs of the student population and collaboratively plan, implements, manages and evaluates the health services provided. Collaborates with other WCHHS programs to strengthen integrated service delivery for Wake County families. | 1 | 30% | • | Promotes and supports staff development. Supports and facilitates innovative projects initiated by staff that promote alignment with agency and county goals. Collaborates with Nurse Supervisor Trainer to integrate training resources and initiatives. | 2 | 25% | • | Develops and manages the school health program business plan, budget and quality assurance in collaboration with program managers. Ensures accurate data collection, analysis and production of program outcome and productivity reports to North Carolina Department of Health and Human Services (NCDHHS) School Health Program and Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) and Wake County Health and Human Services (WCHHS) senior management. | 3 | 25% | • | Collaborates and communicates with Wake County Public School System (WCPSS) partners to ensure proper delivery of services in accordance to state and federal regulations and programs priorities. Participates in the annual review and revision of the Memorandum of Agreement with Wake County Public School Systems (WCPSS). | 4 | 10% | • | Represents the school health program and participate in State, County, WCHHS and WCPSS professional, management and operational business meetings.
