Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Provide hands on education and training and/or organize educational opportunities for clinical staff on new and existing procedures, skills, and equipment which includes emergency events at offsite locations. | 1 | 30% | • | Determines staff development educational needs by assessing healthcare service requirements, such as, new policy developments, new technologies, patient case studies, and quality assurance indicators and make recommendations for change. | 2 | 20% | • | Improves educational results quality by establishing educational standards and procedures (i.e. clinical competency and audits); measuring results against plans and standards; evaluating research methods; making required changes to course materials; studying, evaluating, and re-designing processes; implementing changes. | 3 | 20% | • | Coordinate and execute clinical staff orientation, including but not limited to the administration and instruction of BLS/CPR, PALS | 4 | 15% | • | Serves and protects the healthcare community by adhering to professional standards, policies and procedures, federal, state, and local requirements, and Joint Commission on Accreditation of Healthcare Organizations (JCAHO) standards. | 5 | 15% | | | | | | | |
