Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Administers Dataworks Plus Digital Crime Scene, Photo Manager, and FACE plus applications as well as JusticeTrax LIMS-plus Portal. Works as the administrator for each of these applications for internal and external users. Administers the FARO 3D scan service. Reviews and monitors the quality of information submitted, troubleshoots issues and works as a liaison with vendor. Ensures that equipment, instrumentation and/or hardware is maintained and up to date. Technical Leader and administrator for Facial Recognition service. Provides training in the use of the service, as well as ensures software and technical procedures used are current with industry standards. Advises and trains Crime Scene Investigators in the proper use of all digital photographic equipment | 1 | 50% | • | Creates professionally enlarged versions of crime scene sketches for courtroom presentation. Designs and produces professional quality illustrative courtroom displays. Creates illustrative crime scene renditions utilizing the FARO system. Provides crime scene photographs and videos digitally from the Digital Crime Scene System, from archived compact disks and from scanned negatives at the request of law enforcement officers and the District Attorney's Office. Interprets rough drawings supplied by Crime Scene Investigators and creates a professionally enlarged version suitable for courtroom presentation. Reproduces latent fingerprints 1:1 for comparison purposes. Captures still images from surveillance systems | 2 | 25% | • | Conducts facial recognition searches using image enhancement and video software when applicable and Morphological Comparison for law enforcement agencies. Distributes leads generated to requesting customers | 3 | 15% | • | Notarize forensic laboratory reports for use in judicial proceedings | 4 | 5% | • | Utilizes hardware and applications to unlock cell phones. Presents and defends the results of the cell phone extractions in written reports and as an expert witness in court | 5 | 5% | | | | | | | |
