The position will coordinate and collaborate with the State's Office of the Chief Medical Examiner (OCME) ensuring decedents are successfully and respectfully processed from receipt to final disposition. The Manager will provide guidance and recommendations on future operations and direction of the operation and program. | | | | | | | | |
Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Ensures systematic and effective communication with State officials, service agencies (funeral homes) and families in the intake, transfer, return and final release of decedents occurring within, or residents of, Wake County. | 1 | 30% | • | Constructs and develops complex recommendations and strategies regarding the future scope and size of operations incorporating a comprehensive set of data including growth, rate of service demand, stakeholder service needs, and related factors impacting decedent recovery, handling, processing, and discharge. | 2 | 20% | • | Create, develop and supervise a Team to conduct operations pertinent to current operations and business processes. | 3 | 25% | • | Oversee, manage and audit contract agencies providing operational and planning support to the program. | 4 | 10% | • | Create and maintain operational policies, protocols and procedures applicable to current and future scope of morgue operations. | 5 | 15% | | | | | | | |
