Follows policies and procedures for day-to-day operations of the Wake County Morgue. Coordinates intake, transfer, and final release of decedents with external organizations. Performs basic cleaning tasks to ensure the cleanliness of the facility. | | | | | | | | |
Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Coordinate with State officials, service agencies (funeral homes), and claimants/next-of-kin for the intake, transfer, and final release of decedents occurring within, or residents of, Wake County | 1 | 40% | • | Create, update, and maintain decedent records. Document communication. Find information in databases. Review records and audit invoices for accuracy and completeness. Ensures compliance with relevant regulations, including HIPAA. | 2 | 35% | • | Assist in developing, adjusting, and executing policies and procedures related to the operations of the Wake County Holding Facility.
