Provides advanced regulatory and internal consultative services with respect to quality assurance, waste disposal technology and technical assistance. Designs and implements technical staff training on subject related to field evaluations and design review. Creates and implements a consistency of evaluation and permitting processes by conducting quality assurance/compliance inspections. Participates in inspections of advanced new and existing complex systems or repair systems for permit process completion. Creates reports concerning productivity, quality, and/or timeliness of services to improve processes and potentially support the budget process. Coordinates and participates in inspections of septic systems and public swimming pools. | | | | | | | | |

Provides feedback on quality and timeliness of work. Selects candidates as part of the hiring team. Conducts performance reviews. | 1 | 30% | • | Complete pre-submittal review, residential plan reviews and permit issuance. Complete field work and permitting for Commercial Permit applications and Offsite Easement permit applications. | 2 | 30% | • | Providing advanced regulatory and consultative services with respect to wastewater disposal regulation, technology, innovation, and methodology. Lead projects associated with this to ensure proper and complete research/review. Provides technical assistance to staff, design professional, and customers concerning challenging system design, troubleshooting of malfunctioning systems, advanced treatment utilization, and regulatory interpretation. | 3 | 20% | • | Serve as wastewater representative to other Wake County Departments regarding pre-submittal meetings and commercial permit submittals. Plans the strategy for the section or group of professionals to be able to support designs that require advanced systems, subdivision review, and support of O&M inspection and repairs. This involves doing this work, at times. Develops reports for productivity that can support the bedget process. | 4 | 10% | • | Through experience completing the work and the quality assurance process, implements training, standards or procedures to make the process more effective. Optimizes the effectiveness of the group of professionals in wastewater sections. Develops standards for competion of tasks that ensure QA/QC and a streamlined process. | 5 | 10% | | | | | | | |
