Essential Functions | | | Priority | % Time | • | Leads employee engagement and communication for strategic projects including organizational assessment and stay surveys, training and career development, Wake University, onboarding, succession planning, performance management, rewards and recognition, and total rewards including compensation, benefits, and wellness. | 1 | 30% | • | Develops, executes, and manages employee engagement initiatives to enhance employee morale, motivation, and overall satisfaction. Creates timelines and project plans supporting the execution of programs. Prepares and delivers presentations. Creates after-action reports to determine successes and opportunities for each HR event. | 2 | 30% | • | Collaborates with the Communications Office to draft internal communications including key messaging, employee branding, and deploying communication strategies while working across all County departments to improve employee engagement and retention. May co-draft materials with communications, review the Communication's Office draft, or author content and materials to achieve program goals and objectives. | 3 | 15% | • | Monitors HR program outcomes and conducts strategic research to assess levels of employee engagement and effectiveness by collecting, analyzing, and/or interpreting internal and external data and provides recommendations for data-driven engagement actions and decisions. Manages employee feedback mechanisms and leverages insights to continuously improve engagement strategies. | 4 | 15% | • | Collaborates with internal teams and vendors to design, source, and distribute branded merchandise and swag items. Collaborates with finance and budget teams on budget planning, expense tracking, and financial reporting related to employee engagement activities. Maintains inventory levels, track budgets, and ensures timely delivery of orders for various internal and external events. | 5 | 10% | | | | | | | |
